Make the Path Easy
Successful websites allow users to find what they are looking for,
without getting lost along the way.
Mapping the user experience is the first critical step of designing for
the web. This planning step forces some necessary thinking about
organization of information, and navigability between topics.
I have developed web site maps for McDonald’s human resources,
talent management, and training departments. In each case, once these
were finalized, we used them as a foundation for content development.
